Advanced Merchandising
After successfully completing the Merchandise Planning & Control course, I pursued advanced-level merchandising. While this course built upon the merchandising skills, it also had a more specific focus on the allocation aspects within the realm of retailing. One of my assignments involved delivering a presentation on a relevant merchandising issue in today's retail industry: "Data Management"
Additionally, for graduate project, I was tasked with developing a business plan for a new cotton market and formulating a growth strategy for the brand. The project was sponsored by Cotton Incorporated. This project drew upon the knowledge and insights I had gained throughout my merchandising courses.
The Graduate project also involved a pitch competition as I achieved the 3rd place among competitors. We were asked to well-define the budget, based on our comprehensive understanding of retail mathematics, learned throughout the semester.
